Hi, this Tips & Trick Section is especially for those webmasters
that consider themselves as Newbies, so excuse me if I start at
the very basics, please also feel free to taka a look at my Gallery
Submitting Tutorial which I've written a while ago.
We also update all Partner Request Tables on a daily basis, so
please check back frequently to submit your requests to newly added
sites. I personally request partner accounts through the list ~once
every 1-2 months, but feel free to do it more often.
At first
I'd like to mention that getting Partner Accounts these Days is more
important than it was 2-3 years ago, simply because more and more
Sites are only accepting submissions from Partners. Unfortunately
it appears that many webmsters see this as disadvantage, but IMHO
it isn't. It has gotten rather easy these days to get high quality
and a good number of partner accounts because there are much more
sites than a few years ago where you could apply for one. When I started
submitting galleries 4 years ago it was neccessary to have all kind
of connections to get at least some partner accounts, today you only
need to deliver a honest and clean work and you'll get some, even
if the site owner doesn't know you personally. So I fully agree that
it has gotten rather hard for someone who submits completly without
partner accounts, but I don't think that the gallery submitting biz
hasn't gotten harder as a whole over the last few years.
But before
we come to a "Partner Request" Tutorial I'd like you to
download a copy of Roboform,
it's a free form filler, and it will make your work later on faster
and easier.
Now the
first thing which you should consider when writing a Partner Request
is HONESTY, the site owner has to trust you, and honesty is the only
way to succeed. I get lot's of partner requests for my own sites each
day, and it's rather obvious and easy to detect if a gallery comes
from a newbie or from a professional webmaster. If I have spots open
I accept those requests from professional webmasters most of the time,
but I also accept those requests from newbies from whom I believe
that they'll keep their galleries up for a long time (you should keep
them up forever in your own interest anyway), and from whom I believe
that they will not cheat in any way.
But I decline all those request from newbies that lie to me upfront,
i.e sometimes I get requests with total crappy galleries from people
that brag that they already have partner accounts at some of the biggest
Sites, which is obviously a lie.
Just try to be brutally honest about yourself in your partner request
email (or the comments field), mention where you already have partner
accounts, and mention if you don't have any at all cause you've just
started submitting galleries.
Mention
any info about yourself, like nicknames on webmaster boards, a good
reason why you use any form of whois privacy protection (you shouldn't,
cause many cheater do that too, but if you have to, at least mention
it upfront, cause many site owners will check it anyway) and your
ICQ# if you have one.
Additionally
you should give 3-5 sample galleries most of the time, it would be
good if those sample galleries are on different domains, and use a
different design. It's not too good if you submit 3 times the same
gallery design just with different content.
In your
sample galleries use the best content you can find, and use a unique
one. Don't use content from sponsors that provide thousands of FHGs
(Free Hosted Galleries) for their affiliates,
cause the chances are good the the site owner already uses them for
himself. Spend a day or two purly with researching for good content.
Surf TGPs and MGPs and make notes which sponsors are listed how often,
and choose one that's listed very seldom, and uses good content.
Don't
use any freemail accounts, use an email that resides on the same domain
as your galleries (or one of them)
Don't
use any freehost, hosting is really cheap these days, and you're wasting
your valuable time with freehosts.
And when you have to choose a password, use a unique one. Don't use
"mypass" on every site, cause it might happen that you
come across a cheating site owner too, and it wouldn't be the first
time that someone tries the usernames/passwords that he receives
on other sites, just to hack some existing partner accounts of yours.
So always add some additional numbers to your password, like "mypass1465"
You should also consider that it's always better to contact someone
through ICQ, so when you actually see a ICQ number listed, USE IT!
The biggest partner accounts are only shared that way or through
board contacts.

That's
it for now, if you have any questions, contact me at webmaster(at)partnerrequests.com
